I wanted to target walleye in the Susquehanna. What files would work well?

Walleyes are minnow eaters so you can't beat a Clouser Minnow. I like them on the small size, around 3" in length. Blue over white and black are good colors.

Clousers, double leeches, and Lefty's Deceivers have been my best producers on the lower Allegheny. 3-6" flies either weighted or on a sink tip.

My best walleye flies have literally been some bucktail on a hook with a bead or cone for weight. Clouser minnows and white buggers are also effective. White and white/combination flies are always my best for walleyes.

Targeting walleyes in the Susky with clousers and buggers is really not so easy, since those pesky smallies always think the fly is for them. Good luck.

Thanks to all. If the rain ever quits. .. I will fish

I just landed my first walleye on the fly yesterday in a trib of the Susky, not far from its mouth. I was using a purple/chartreuse Clouser minnow type fly with red eyes. I fished it pretty low in a deep pool.

Nice teeth

Great shot of those teeth that you don't see every day.

I like the colors on the fly too!
