Most hatches near dusk.
Keep in mind, I don’t usually fish in the morning. I heard there were 9-10am hatches
Tuesday 18th,sulfurs on spring
Wednesday,cahills bald eagle
Thursday, sulfurs, tan caddis ,cahills penns Poe paddy
Fri, same at tunnel
Sat 22nd, light sulfurs (sulphur of you’re British, or anti-science) on spring
Sunday 23rd , green apple/mothers day caddis , cahills,on bald eagle,BUT, they were concentrating on ants and inchworms .
MONDAY MAY 24th
GREEN DRAKES!! On penns.
They hit any fly that was big.
A little bit too easy on dries. I had an extended body dry that you could drift any which way and something would hit it. I just wanted to start with sure catches.
There were big bows, little browns, and SMB.
Wet fly action was superb. They hit the fly so hard that they set the hook themselves.
Flies from 6-10 were good. Size eight was very popular amongst rainbows .
Green Maurice flies were successful down to size 12.
Dry Maurice in size 10 was good .
It would have been very difficult to not catch fish.
