As the river is making a comeback and starting to fish well again.....

“The DEP and the Middle Susquehanna Riverkeeper Association urges everyone to avoid direct impact with the river”

Always good advice.

I was going to go up above Liverpool on Saturday but I'm guessing the fishing is kind of sh*tty 😁

In all seriousness, I hope they can figure out what the impact was. Hopefully it won't be devastating to the river or surrounding community.

The river fishes well in certain sections. I think its actually better and certainly bigger fish (bass) can be caught than ever in my lifetime. Musky fishing is decent but Musky fishing anywhere is tough. Crappie, Rock Bass and Sunfish are missing from the mix. Walleye are not numerous. Flatheads may have something to do with that. I don't know. I suspect the spill won't do much. I will avoid that section for a while. Way more concerning is the regular releases during storms from wastewater treatment plants and farm run off. Long term I see the build up of silt behind the dams on lower river as a potential disaster.
